ITS ALL TBC
(Only the abt section is done)
What a cool portfolio right!? - definately not a reskin of my art one.
Played drums since a young age but never listened to music until covid ngl. Then in yr 10 I thought it'd be cool to make my own song so yea...
I do think starting to make songs as a drummer with almost zero 'harmonic' music theory is significantly wose than almost any other instrument :sob:.
"⭐ Why fit in when you were born to stand out ⭐" - Dr. Seuss.
The big question would probably be 'whats your music taste!?' and I really cannont find out what the common factor between all of them are :/ just take this:
Most notable artists are:
Eve, Toby Fox, Joey Valance and Brae, MF DOOM, Chris Christodoulou, 'JJK soundtrack', Raito, and The
Police.
I think they also largely double up as inspiration for my music but not all music I like is playlist
music. Risk of rains music is great because it fits in that context but as songs to listen to... not
so much. Other games I like the music to are:
Hollow Knight, Celeste, Hades, Balatro, Zelda(s), and Mariokart(s). These are the ones I can name
off the top of my head - I watch a LOT of
Cadence Hira.
My collection of most of my FINISHED art will be here - which rlly aint a whole lot. Organised it in years cause I thought it'd be cool to see the progress like that.
HOPE YOU LIKE THE MUSIC!!
With music, there is structure to learning - but honestly a lot more comes from experimenting, unlike art.
I watch tutorials for things like mixing, how to make my own synths, and music theory, but generally a lot of what I learn is from breaking down what others do.EG: listening to Chris' thought process behind the ROR2 soundtrack, Or watching one of the many VGM (video game music) breakdowns (Cadence Hira the GOAT).
Imagine I've linked my fav music yt'bers down here:
