🅱️ASE🅱️ALL
Ive played baseball for 8-9 years (I Think?) with a local club. Played in div3 & 2 up until u17 then div 6 in adults.
I used to play first base then moved to centre field and pitching. I guess my talent was just being wasted 🥶❄️. I do still like 1st base but centre field is more fun for me. I might get a ball once an inning if im lucky but theres an art to fielding (I promise).
As for awards, I won a few comps over the years. One in T-ball and the 2023 ESJBL div 2 comp. My dad coached our div 3 team and we got to the semis twice in 2024 and 2025.

PITCHING!!
Pitching is something else though. It's rewarding IF you can hit your shots.
Its pretty mentally taxing - if you get in your head, you lose. But otherwise it is pretty fun :) some weeks you get a 40% strike rate, some weeks you get 60%.
I can throw a 4-seam fastball, curveball, and slider (but the movement chart its more like a 2-seam fastball?? idk). I can throw a change up and 2 seam, but the change up just isn't consistent enough and my 2-seam has absolutely zero movement. That being said, 3 pitches is more than enough.
A fastball and 2 breaking balls (pitches that move) is more than enough in anything that isnt div 1 or 2 adults. If I can implement the change up into my pitching then id have an off-speed pitch as well.

OUTFIELD!!
You can't win if nobody catches the ball in the outfield. You're only as good as the team you have behind you. - Jim Palmer (I don't watch baseball, idk who this is)
Flyballs are more fun then grounders, mainly because 'you catch them, you get them out'. They are also more of a physical showcase than technical. Mainly speed and agility, but you still need to know how to track it, when you need to stop/slowdown ('over running' balls is a thing), andgeneral footwork.
Had a sick catch in div 1 adults (I filled in). There was a fly ball that would've gone over most peoples heads, but because I got into position fast enough I could do a proper jump and catch it in the air. It was a really good line drive, so it was a great catch.
